This innovative talent development program gives first and second-time documentary filmmakers an opportunity to hone their projects with the support of renowned filmmakers and film professionals. During the 4-week program, “Fakir” will have a chance to evolve through individual consultancies, inspirational talks, group mentoring, and more.

The films selected this year represent projects produced from eighteen countries from around the world. Fakir was shot in Slovakia and Pilsen, Czechia.

Director Roman Ďuriš:

Comparing my project with others helps to better understand and strengthen the identity of my own project. In the context of quality projects from around the world, we can better reflect the uniqueness of our film, its cultural and cinematic differences, and approaches.
