FOREST

Fresh university graduates Asia and Marek leave the city behind and build a life for themselves and their three children in the Białowieża Forest, the oldest forest in Europe. Surrounded by wilderness, they create their own small paradise, far away from the problems of the modern world. But their peaceful existence changes when refugees begin appearing in the forest along the Polish-Belarusian border. Freezing, hungry and lost, they arrive just beyond the family's doorstep.

Asia and Marek decide to help them, despite the risks and the increasingly hostile political climate. Soon the humanitarian crisis becomes part of everyday family life. Nights are spent searching for people in the forest, their home fills with supplies for refugees, and even the children's games begin to reflect the world around them. What once seemed like a sanctuary becomes a place where politics, fear and moral responsibility can no longer be kept outside.
