New logo and poster for short film Kanya revealed

It’s been a busy couple of weeks gearing up for the upcoming release of Kanya. One of the many important aspects we needed to finalize for our film, as well as the promotional materials associated with it, was the title design of the film.

We wanted to create a title design that would also complement the themes within the film. After multiple attempts, we got creative and came up with something unique. We printed out the finalized fonts on paper, placed the paper in a tray of water, created some ripples, captured a photo of the font with the ripples, and finally vectorized it. STEP 1 – We started with sketches and rough ideas.

STEP 2 – After printing, we put the logos underwater and took photos of them.

STEP 3 – We applied different versions of the title design on film screenshots.

STEP 4 – Final logo is born!
